The Break

Break from anywhere behind the line (no 'D'). Four balls must hit the cushion.

If no balls potted it is an 'open table'

If a ball is potted the player may choose either colour provided he nominates to the referee which colour he/she is taking. If a player pots a red for example from the break he/she may call yellows, but the player must then pot the yellow. If they don't an open table is called and the other player may play either colour without nominating colour.

If a player fails to nominate which colour he/she is taking after potting from the break then a foul will be called.

The Game

For a two shots free table the player must call free ball. If the player fails to call free ball/table, two shots will be awarded to the oponent.

If a player commits a foul and snookers the oponent the player may call foul snooker. The referee must acknowledge the foul snooker by notifying the oponent that both sides of the object ball must clearly be able to hit. The player then has the option of playing a free ball or moving the cue back to baulk. (note: referee must move the ball). But keeping two shots free table.

Two shots carry at all times including the eight ball.

Player does not need to nominate which pocket the balck ball is to be potted.

Point and Penalty Points

Points will be awarded as follows:

3 points for the team winning the match

1 point for each leg

3 points for a team claining a match

in the event of two teams being tied at the end of the season, the team with the best legs difference will have the advantage. If the teams are level on points then it is the combined results of the two matches between the two teams that judges which team finishes higher.

3 points deducted for a team not showing up

1 point deducted for a late match card

2 points deducted for a missing card (a card is considered missing if it has not arrived 2 weeks after the original Saturday noon deadline)

1 point deducted for a missing captains signature on the match card

1 point deducted for an unreadable name on the match card

1 point deducted for altering your match card without getting the change initialled by the opposition captain

1 point deducted for playing an unregistered player (You cannot play a player who has previously played for another team during the season without first transferring the player)

If a team incurs 3 penalty points or more on one match card the match will be called void. The team deducted 3 points and the match awarded to the opposition 9-0. If both teams incur 3 or more penalty points then the match will be called void and both teams will lose 3 points and the table amended as if both teams had lost 9-0
